I have seen this dentist since I was a kid myself. He is absolutely fantastic. That being said, his office staff is absolutely horrible. We were LITERALLY two minutes (we have 4 kids so that's not really too bad for us) late and they called. I was less than a mile away from their building and they were SO rude. She then put me on hold to see if they'd still see me, which lasted until I had already arrived at the office. Total, we were 6 minutes late. Then, I had tried explaining to them several times that my insurance was the same company but the coverages had changed so they'd need to check the coverage. Two different people told me it was the same. Magically, after our 3 kids' appointments they realized it wasn't the same coverage. So, after we receive what I'm sure will be an outragious bill we will provably be switching dentists due to his terrible office help.
I recently took my 4 children, ages 7-12, to see Dr. Kollmann. It was a very pleasant and quick appointment. The staff and Dr. are knowledgeable, kind, and honest people hard at work to do their best!
Horrible! horrible! Warning. This dentist should have his license revoked. My niece who is 5 years old had two teeth removed. Had nitrous and when she started crying about the pain Dr. Told her that he didn't have time for this bullshit and if she didn't stop crying she wasn't going to be allowed to come back. Mind you her mom wasn't back there with her
My daughter, who is five, had to come in to have a few cavities filled. They initially suggested that she be sent to the hospital and be put under for the work, but we didn't feel comfortable having that done so they said they would try it in the office with nitrous oxide. So today I took off work and our whole family drove to the dentist early this morning. When they called my daughter back to the room they wouldn't let me go back with her. She was crying when she got to the room but stopped as soon as they let me go back with her. She let the dental assistant put the numbing gel in her mouth and tilted her head back, like she was told, so they could turn on the nitrous oxide. The dentist came over to her right when she said she didn't like the numbing gel and he refused to work on her. She was being as calm and brave as you could hope any five year old to be. His reasoning was because she was whimpering and he "had a lot of other patients to see today". The whole experience today really felt like a big show to make it seem like they were on our side and willing to at least try. However, the reality was they only willing to do what was easiest and most convenient for them and chose to inconvenience us greatly with this charade. It's also very frustrating that we made this appointment about a six weeks ago and then be told essentially that he didn't have time for my daughter, which is how we interpreted the i have a lot of other patients line. She wasn't acting out, he had no reason to think that it would have taken any more time than normal. The dentist himself wasn't rude, like some of his staff was, he was however one on the most condescending people we've dealt with.
Very good Dentist nice friendly staff and always on schedule. My kids love him and it's a fun office setting. I wish I had a Dentist office like this when I was a kid.
